A friend of mine recently opened one of Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurants. It was pre-opening week so we got to go for a very indulgent late lunch for half the price. The food (and coffee) was divine! I will definitely go back, even if it is just to have another Musetti macchiato.

Ciao Amy,
Great photographs. The caffe looks perfect just like the ones I have in Italy. To me there is nothing like a truly great espresso.
Ciao Seamus
Ciao Seamus
Where in Italy are you? Espresso goodness, oh yes. It is a gamble here in the UK though… the bitterness may send you back to latte land, unless you find somewhere that makes an espresso like zee Italians do.

Ciao Amy,
I am in Los Angeles, but we go to Italy as much as possibly. Lately it has not been enough. I fell in love with espresso there. I don’t drink or smoke any longer and espresso is my vice although a controlled one.
I was in Dublin recently and found a place called Butlers Chocolate Cafe. I think that’s the name. Their espresso was pretty good. The other times I was in Dublin I couldn’t find anywhere to have even a decent espresso.
Are you near Violet Cakes? http://www.violetcakes.com/blog/
It looks pretty cool.
Have a great day. I love your Buddhist quotes. I am an amateur meditator, but I love it and I love the philosophy.
Buona Giornata,
Seamus
Seamus, I think we are all amateurs unless we progress to Buddha-hood! I worthy goal however! I think Espresso is a healthy vice, surely?!
I am not near Violet cakes, however a trip to London soon is on the cards so I shall visit. There is something very cute close by called ‘Cup cake’ which I will report on soon – when my film is processed!
I hope you are having an enjoyable weekend,
Amy
