Merry maidens stone circle

merry maiden stone circle

It is impossible to spend time living in England, without going to a pub and having a beer.  Just like a beer, stone circles are common features of this land (ok, sure beers are more common).  In fact, there are approximately 1000 in Britain.  In Cornwall we went to visit the Merry Maidens stone circle, circa 9500BC – the stone age.  I find these things fascinating as they still do not know what they were for.
