Opportunities

Today I walked past a 1-pence coin shining at me on the pavement.  I didn’t bother picking it up – it was only 1-pence after all.  Later in the day I again saw another 1-pence on the pavement.  This time I picked it up, and this shiny little coin got me thinking.  How often do we see opportunities and walk right past them thinking they will be of no significance?  Thinking, it’s just 1-pence.  But this small thing could be an invite, it could be an email, or could be a ticket, it could be saying hello, it could be saying thank you, it could be how was your day?  It could be anything and it could make a significant difference to your life or someone else’s as all things add up – just like my 1p came in handy half an hour later when paying £1.68 for some penne pasta.
